Life Empowered has a variety of open and developing volunteer opportunities. Our director, Jennifer, would love to meet with you to discuss our needs, where you feel called, and how much time you want to commit. *Some of Our Current Volunteer Needs:* ~Board Members (We need a fundraising coordinator and a childcare coordinator to join our board. We're looking for a commitment at least until Jan. 2012.) ~Office Support (data entry, filing, phone calling, etc.) ~Accountant (a CPA or other financial professional willing to keep our books and file our taxes) ~Conference Assistant (assist with annual conference planning) ~General Conference Volunteers (pre-conference projects or conference weekend volunteers, there's a variety of time commitment opportunities) ~Hospitality Volunteers (decorating for events, keeping L.E. mtg. rooms clean, writing thank you's, invitations, etc.) ~Middle School Age Girls Discipleship Study Leader ~Women's Discipleship Study Leaders (lead women at least once per month in seeking God & applying his word to real life, pick monthly topics, plan occassional special retreats/activities with the other leaders) ~Christian Library Volunteers (volunteer to seek Christian book, dvd, & cd donations, shelve donations, &/or enter titles into excel database) ~Prayer Requests Volunteer (take online and verbal prayer requests, maintain a prayer chain) ~Surrounding Communities & Church Liasons (bring info about Life Empowered's mission and upcoming events to your community by distributing our promotional materials or through newspaper, community organizations, community message boards, women's groups, etc. or be a representative of Life Empowered and our events at your church or a variety of churches in your area ~Communications Phone Caller (Make calls to our contacts about upcoming events and other opportunities/minsitry needs). ~Website Design & Maintenance (Using Dreamweaver, design and maintain our website) ~Lead a Christian Based Program In Your Area of Expertise (Our outreach program is seeking individuals to lead 4-6 week Christ centered programs or one day special events on spiritual health, emotional health, physical health, household management, financial well being, family life, relationships, interests/gifts, etc.) ~Lead/Help Lead a Mother's Support Group (Lead/help lead a daytime mother's support group that encourages moms to seek God, teaches, gives opportunities to put things learned to action, & offers woman to woman support. Consider offering occassional mother's day out. Ensure childcare is provided for women with children of all ages at all activities.) ~Childcare Volunteers ~Fundraising Event Leaders & Volunteers (volunteers to come up with fundraising ideas, lead fundraising events, &/or help with fundraising events)
